This is the world of necromancer page of frequently asked questions
or questions that you might have but are afraid to ask.
Q: Who the hell are you?
A: I am necromancer, a regular poster to the newsgroup rec.autos.driving (abbreviated r.a.d.) who lives on the East Coast of the State of Georgia in the United States Of America.
Q: Why the name necromancer? It has nothing to do with driving.
A: Why not? I decided that the nym "Paul," which I used to go by was too pedesrtian and wanted something different. Also, if any Christian fanatics around here read this, maybe it will make them shit in their pants.
Q: What will be your purpose to these pages?
A: To exhibit driving related images for use in rec.autos.driving and misc.transport.road discussions, mainly.
Q: What's with the HAZMAT placard as a logo?
A: Why not?
Q: Where can I find the pictures?
A: Close this tab (or window if using IE - alternately, go to the home page ) and click on the link called - appropriately enough - "The Pictures." If you are looking for the video, there is a similar link for those on the main page.
Q: When will the videos be comming?
A: Hopefully in late January 2008. Acquisition of a video camera being the impediment to my implementing the video project. I haven't really settled on a style yet, but I'm thinking of copying the style of m.t.r's "Freewayjim," to do these videos.
Q: how are you doing these backgrounds?
A: The backgrounds that go from one color to another are called, "gradients." Most image editors (The GIMP (freeware, IIRC) in the case of the gradients) can make them. For the record, I use background images of either 100x1500 or 300x1500 pixels. The road backgrounds were similarly made with a different image editor: Lview Pro (however this one will cost 'ya).
