Page 19: Tipperary Hill in Syracuse, NY, these pictures were taken in 2003 during a road trip to see some family in the area. Can anyone tell what is wrong with these pictures? (Scroll down to beneath the second row of pictures for an explanation....)

For those of you who still can't  figure it out, take a close look at the traffic light that; coincidentally; is in the center of the pictures. (What, with all the road related pages, the road background and so on, you thought this page was going to be about the houses?? ;) Notice that the red light is on the bottom and the green light is on top? That's an Irish neighborhood for you. Years ago when the light was first installed, the Irish youths in the neighborhood did not care for the "British," Red light being on top of the "Irish," Green light and kept destroying the light (other accounts I have heard had the red light associated with the devil and the green still with Ireland). The city essentially had two choices: either give in and install the light with the green on top as the light still is today or keep replacing the light. (this information was mercilessly stolen from wikipedia and other sources.)

Below are pictures of a statue and park dedicated to the "visionaries," who were responsible for the light being in the form it is in today.
